Learn About Nano

Revive Health utilizes the most modern of science, nano-technology for the production of its specialized supplement products.  The products are manufactured in a laboratory, unlike most other supplements or drinks that are mass produced with just basic food elements.  Applying this technology is a huge leap in placing nutrition in the body and making it available for use.

The following information is detailed, scientific material that explains what nanotechnology is, and how it is used in the Revive Health products.  It's a fun read - and you'll come away with something new to tell your friends - and a great desire to get our products for your own health!

Silver Dollar Expansion

To understand the effect of particle size on surface area, consider a U.S. silver dollar. The silver dollar contains 26.96 grams of coin silver, has a diameter of about 40 mm, and has a total surface area of approximately 27.70 square centimeters. If the same amount of coin silver were divided into tiny particles, say 1 nanometer in diameter, the total surface area of those particles would be 11,400 square meters, or 2.187 acres. When the amount of coin silver contained in a silver dollar is rendered into 1 nm particles, the surface area of those particles is 4.115 million times greater than the surface area of the silver dollar.  (Source here. WHAT IS NANOTECHNOLOGY?
Nanotechnology is a general-purpose technology (GPT) which will lead to a major worldwide economic revolution just as the invention of the steam engine, electricity, railroads, personal computers, and the airplane (GPT’s which preceded it) transformed the world. Many experts believe that nanotechnology may have a greater impact than any of the GPTs, which preceded it. This dynamic new field of engineering and science, for example, is projected to produce $2.6 trillion in manufactured goods globally by 2014*

Nanotechnology Terms

Nanometer:

1 nanometer is equal to one billionth of a meter (or one millionth of a millimeter), which is the current SI base unit of length. It can be written in scientific notations as 1X109 m (engineering notation) or 1 E-9 m (exponential notation) . both meaning 1/1,000,000,000 meters.

Nanoparticle

A nanoparticle (or nanopowder or nanocluster or nanocrystal) is a small particle with at least one dimension less than 100 nm  (Source: Malvern Instrumentation).

Surface area is the measure of how much exposed area an object has. It is expressed in square units. If an object has flat faces, its surface area can be calculated by adding together the areas of its faces. Even objects with smooth surfaces, such as spheres, can have well-defined surface area.

The ratio of surface area to volume of any material at the nanoscale (10-9 ) changes so dramatically (three orders of magnitude smaller than ‘micro’) that the implications for improved efficiency in nutrient delivery, uptake, and utilization are staggering. Bio-chemical reaction involving ‘soft’ nanoparticles occur so much more rapidly than at macroscale that no easily understood comparison is possible.

As a result of these factors, nutrient doses at the nanoscale can be dramatically reduced without anyloss of effect. Nutrient effects previously demonstrable only in vitro become plausible in living organisms. For example, since the body deals with soft nanoparticles much differently than macro particles, bioavailablity can virtually disappear as a delivery problem. Nanoparticles are readily available for cellular uptake because they are similar in size to the materials cells already utilize. Remember that nanoparticles are, by definition, 100 nanometers or less in at least one dimension. This is the size of a virus. Imagine nutrients, the size of a virus, available for the cell to utilize without cumbersome modification.

Revive Health products utilize a unique proprietary processes capable of nanosizing most nutrients, both water and lipid soluble, in an aqueous formulation. All biochemical reactions in animals and humans occur in a ‘wet’ or aqueous environment. Revive Health is therefore able to:

  • Produce Nutrient Based Nano-Particle Products
  • Offer These Nutrients Through Water to the Body
  • Improve Absorption and Efficacy

By reducing the size of a particle, the total surface area in a product is greatly increased. The greater the surface area, the greater the biochemical reacivity. This results in much greater efficacy. This means that a nutrient in an aqueous formulation becomes readily available for utilization by animals and humans at the cellular and subcellular level with previously unobtainable levels of efficacy.

The effects of a nanoparticle product include:

  • Greatly Increased Efficacy
  • Increased Cellular Hydration
  • Immediate Absorbtion of Nutrients into the Body

The manufacturing process:

  1. Eliminates virtually all (99.99%) of the contaminants from our source water.
  2. Breaks down the clusters of water molecules that formed around the contaminants.
  3. Introduces our own healthy “contaminants”  (nutrients) into the water.
  4. Re-forms the clusters of molecules around our selected nutrients.

This process makes the nutrients super absorbable at the cellular level, utilizing a nano technology that is the most cutting edge approach in the market place. In short, we have created a new transport system that gets healthy nutrients to where they need to be in order to have the most dramatic and positive effect.

Imagine what could happen if a cluster of water molecules was so small, that it accessed the body at the cellular level and transported the beneficial nutrients rapidly and effectively to the required area!

Nanotechnology

A big deal about real small stuff! Most people are familiar with the 'hard' technology, like nano fibers and the use of nanomaterials for medicine to destroy cancers.  Here are a few sites that can help you learn more about nano-technology!

There have been a number of questions arise about the technology that Revive Health uses to achieve such a unique and remarkable product.  While there are a number of theories about how water really operates (it is still theory), Revive Health relies on research from Cambridge University in England for the definitions and theory of behavior that govern the creation of our products.

While many individuals are willing to accept our simpler explanations about how our product is created, there are others that really want to understand the technology.  Once the water cluster is understood - our explanations make perfect sense.  There are proprietary processes that are not given on how the water is re-engineered.  however, here are some links to discover more about the operation of water clusters:
